MIDLAND AREA PICKLEBALL CLUB

Court and Gear

Pickleball is traditionally played on a badminton-sized court with special Pickleball paddles, made of wood or high-tech materials.

The ball used is similar to a wiffle ball, but slightly smaller.

The lower net and wiffle ball allow the game to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, while still allowing more competitive players to test their mettle.

See below how we worked hard on the Tiffin Park in Midland, ON project.

We were instrumental in the conversion of one tennis court (used by only 4 players) into 4 pickleball courts (used by 16 players).

It included fencing around each court with a walkway in between.

Notice how the fencing is offset so there was no need for extra gates, except for separating the two sports.

Most of the time we use that gate to get into our playing area as the other tennis court is rarely used.
